The opening talk of #systemsdistributed, organized by our friends @TigerBeetleDB in the @EYE_film museum in Amsterdam, was given by Hannes Mühleisen of @duckdblabs about: DuckLake (https://ducklake.select) and this was very well received movie poster refers back to CIDR2025

I had a lot of fun at @TigerBeetleDB‘s SD ‘25 talking about the power of single-node and simplicity in data analytics and AI systems. Also met a lot of cool people working on distributed system problems. Now onto @sigmod! #systemsdistributed

Probably the smoothest conference I've attended so far. Was also great meeting old and new faces alike. Props to TigerBeetle again for setting it all up. #systemsdistributed

Systems Distributed 25 #SD25 has come to a close. I've learned so much, and meet many wonderful people.
My thanks to the entire @TigerBeetleDB team for demonstrating how to build a great community and a great conference. I was inspired by each member of the team, from the hand written letters welcoming us to the conference, to how each team member introduced speakers demonstrating the communal ownership, and unity, not soulless formality.
You have something special here and I'm looking forward to next year!

The production quality on the #SD25 conference videos is really fantastic. The @TigerBeetleDB team puts so much love and effort into everything

Having a conference in a cinema certainly has some benefits - I can read all the text on the slides #sd25

Back from #sd25 systemsdistributed and still awe-struck, residually amazed, lingeringly impressed, totally after-glowed, and hugely inspired ! The lineup was fantastic, the organization next level, and the location: unapologetically cinematic! The last talk from @jorandirkgreef (and the crew) didn't just end the conference - it redefined what a technical presentation _can_ be. Huge kudos to @tigerbeetle and the speakers! Glad and honored I was able to hang out with the most talented, gifted, humble, and nice people on the planet, which includes all of Tigerbeetle. Fittingly, the motto was "pay it forward". And boy have they done! (I feel pif-in-debt now).
